Six TBS Attorneys Rated Among the Best in King County According to Seattle Metropolitan Magazine

Tousley Brain Stephens is pleased to announce that six of its members were named recently by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine as among the best lawyers in King County. The magazine, in cooperation, with Lexis-Nexis Martindale Hubbell, identified lawyers in over 50 practice areas that "have reached the highest levels of ethical standards and professional excellence." Seattle Met says its list "includes only those practitioners in King County who have been judged by their peers to be 'AV Preeminent' - the highest peer-review rating available." On July 3, 2014, Tousley Brain Stephens PLLC and Ashburn & Mason P.C. filed a class action complaint in federal court in Alaska against Howmedica Osteonics Corporation, which does business as Stryker Orthopaedics. Plaintiffs filed on behalf of a national class of third-party payors, including health and welfare funds, self-insured employers, and non-profit and for-profit health insurers, against Stryker to recover medical costs paid for the implantation, removal, and replacement of Stryker's recalled, allegedly defective Rejuvenate(r) prosthetic hip.

TBS Files Class Action Complaint against MultiCare Health Systems, Inc.

On July 7, 2014, Tousley Brain Stephens PLLC filed a class action complaint against MultiCare Health Systems, Inc. TBS filed on behalf of a class of persons who received non-emergency telephone calls from Hunter Donaldson on behalf of MultiCare to a cell phone through the use of an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice and did not provide prior express consent.

TBS Files Class Action Complaint against Navistar International Corporation

On July 9, 2014, Tousley Brain Stephens PLLC, Grant & Eisenhofer P.A., Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, and Caddell & Chapman filed a nationwide class action complaint against Navistar International Corporation in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on behalf of trucking companies in California, Washington class, and Illinois. The complaint alleges that Navistar actively concealed that its 2008-2013 model heavy-duty trucks were equipped with Maxxforce Advanced EGR diesel engines containing a defective emission system that caused the trucks to suddenly break down.
