TBS Attorneys Obtain Preliminary Injunction Prohibiting Trust from Executing on Judgment

In a highly contentious trust and estate dispute, TBS attorney Janissa Strabuk recently obtained an order prohibiting a trust from executing on a judgment it had obtained against a family corporation. Our clients, shareholders in the corporation, argued that the judgment was obtained as part of a conspiracy between several of our client’s siblings to wrongfully deny him and another sibling their rightful inheritance. The court also ruled that any assets of the corporation could be sold only by agreement of all of the siblings or by a receiver if the siblings could not agree. The court agreed with our clients that the proceeds from the sale of any corporate assets should be held by the court or in a neutral account until the disputes between the parties are resolved.
